Abstract
Objective:To investigate the expression of MMP-2,VEGF-C and CD44V6 in cervical carcinoma and their relationship with invasion and node metastasis of the cervical cancerous tissue.Methods:The expression of MMP-2,VEGF-C and CD44V6 was examined by immunohistochemical S-P method in 10 cases of normal cervical epithelia,10 cases of cervical carcinoma in situ and 54 cases of cervical carcinoma.The relationship between those indexes and the factors related to clinical pathology of cervical carcinoma were analyzed statistically.Results:It was found that the positive level of MMP-2,VEGF-C and CD44V6 expression increased in an order of normal cervical epithelium cervical carcinoma in situ and invasive carcinoma of cervix(P0.05).There was significant correlation between the expression of MMP-2,VEGF-C and CD44V6 and pelvic lymphnode metastasis,histropathological grading and FIGO staging(P0.05).Conclusion:The positive expression of MMP-2,VEGF-C and CD44V6 in invasive cervical carcinoma might play an important role in the development,lymph node metastasis,intravascular and stroma involvement of cancer cells.Their level may act as an index to indicate the process of the invasion and node metastasis in cervical carcinoma.
