Abstract

Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of acupuncture on peripheral facial paralysis by selecting acupoints of the corresponding meridian distal to the focus.Methods:68 cases of facial paralysis were treated with electrotherapy by selecting several acupoints of the corresponding meridian distal to the focus such as Quchi,Hegu,Zusanli etc.Results:A total effective rate was 97.1%.Conclusion:The method has a good therapeutic effect on facial paralysis and it can also relieve patients from pain.
