Research Progress of Acupoint Selection of Acupuncture and Moxibustion in the Treatment of Facial Paralysis

Facial paralysis is a commonly- seen and frequently- occurring disease,and its incidence has increased in recent years,which has attracted vast attention. Acupuncture and moxibustion have characteristic and advantage in the treatment of facial paralysis. This article reviews the classification,the principles of treatment about facial paralysis and the common acupoints in the treatment of facial paralysis,such as local acupoints,nearby acupoints and distant acupoints. We also try to explore the possible direction of research and development in the future.
