Abstract
Objective To compare the curative effects of ceftriaxone of different dose,0.25g and 1g, in the treatment of early syphilis. Methods 42 syphilitics were put into two groups and treated with different doses for 10 days of muscular injection. Results The curative rate didn't differ between the two groups in RPR negative transfer (χ 2=0.7898, P 0.05).Conclusion 0.25g ceftriaxone yielded the same curative results as that of 1g solution, and is as safe and effective. The cost 0.25g solution is just 1/4 of 1g solution.
