Abstract

Objective:To study the systemic and local expression and significance of thrombospondin-1(TSP-1)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in endometriosis(EMS).Methods:ELISA and Western-blotting were employed to detect TSP-1and VEGF expression in blood serum and local endometrium in 40 cases of ectopic endometrium,40 cases of eutopic endometrium and 20 cases of normal endometrium.Results:SerumTSP-1 in ectopic endometrium group was lower than that in eutopic and normal endometrium groups(P0.01).And there was no significant difference between eutopic and normal endometrium groups(P0.05).But VEGF in ectopic endometrium group wais higher than that in eutopic endometrium group,VEGF in eutopic endometrium group was higher than that in normalgroup(P0.01).In local tissues,VEGF was stronger in turn in ectopic endometrium, eutopic endometrium and nomal endometrium but TSP-1 was weakened in order(P0.01).Conclusion:Both TSP-1 and VEGF participate in the endometriosis pathogenesis. But the VEGF maybe has more important effect.
