The Effect of Matrine Capsules in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the short-term therapeutic efficacy and safety of MatrineCapsules in patients with chronic hepatitis B.Material and methods 387 chronic hepatitis B patients withHBV DNA and HBeAg positive were divided into two groups :①Matrine Capsules group:3 months therapy ofMatrine Capsules(n=301); ②contrast group : general treatment(n=86).Results At the end of treatment,HBV DNA was undetectable in 39.20% in Matrine Capsules group, compared with 9.32% in contrast group(χ2=27.23,p0.001); ALT normalization occurred 74.42% in Matrine Capsules group, compared with 31.40% in contrast group(χ2=54.32,p0.001); 43.52% in Matrine Capsules group achieved HBeAg negative ascompared with 10.46% in contrast group(χ2=31.66,p0.001).Conclusions It is efficacy and safetyof Matrine Capsules in treatme nt patients with chronic hepatitis B.
