Abstract

Objective To investigate the value of cardiac troponinⅠ(cTnI)level on predicting the extent of coronary artery lesion in patients with acute myocardial infarction. Methods In our hospital from January 2011 to December 2011 for treatment of 92 AMI patients received emergency CAG were enrolled in this study. They were given cTnI test before coronary artery angiography, and were divided according to the level of cTnI into two groups. The patients whose cTnI 0.4pg/mL were in group A,and the whose cTnI≥0.4ng/mL were in group B.The number of days in hospital between two groups as well as adjuvant therapies, were compared. The correlation between cTNI and the coronary artery lesion score was analyzed too. Results Higher levels of plasma cTnI were related to more days in hospital,as well as more adjuvant therapies(P =0.042,P =0.029,respectively).The plasma cTnI levels were positively correlated with the coronary artery lesion score in AMI patients(r=0.474,P 0.001).Conclusion For patients received emergency CAG,cTnI levels tested before PCI can be used as an useful predictor for adjuvant therapies, coronary artery lesion and the number of days in hospital.
