Silicone oil treatment of retinal detachment complicated eyes

Objective: To investigate the treatment of vitreoretinal surgery under silicone oil silicone oil-filled eyes recurrent retinal detachment in the methods and results.Methods: Forty-five cases(45 eyes) with silicone oil-filled eyes recurrent retinal detachment had downstream vitreoretinal surgery with silicone oil in the retention.Results: The anatomical reduction after surgery was followed up for 5 months in 6 eyes recurrence.Four cases had reattachment through the re-operation retinal,and the other 2 case gave up surgery.Vision was improved in varying degrees.The success rate of surgery was 87%.Conclusion: Vitreoretinal surgery in retaining silicone oil is simple,safe and obtains a better anatomic reduction and visual functional recovery.
