36 Cases of Effect on Integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine on Treating Genital Herpes

Abstract

Objective To observe clinical efficacy of the combination treatment with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) and western medicine on genital herpes. Methods 36 cases of genital herpes patients were using TCM differential treatment, combining western medicine acyclovir treatment, 1-3 courses, six months after the withdrawal of judge. And then compared them with 32 cases which were treated with acyclovir and the shift factor together after six months. Results The efficiency rate of treatment group was 97.2%. The efficiency rate of control group was 71.9%. Statistically, the difference between these two groups was significant (P0.005). Conclusion Integrated treatment of genital herpes could increase efficacy and avoid recurrence after treatment, and it has significant effects.
