Abstract

Objective To study the chemical constituents of the leaves of Crataegus pinnatifida Bge..Methods Seven compounds were isolated by chromatography on silica gel column,Sephadex LH-20,ODS chromatography column and HPLC,their structures were confirmed on the basis of physico-chemical constants and spectroscopic analysis. Results Seven compounds were isolated from 80% ethanol-water extraction and their structures were identified as α-tetrahydrobisabolen-2,5,6-triol(1),10,11-dihydroxynerolidol(2),3,5,4′-trimethoxy-4-hydroxyl-biphenyl(3),(+)-7R,8S-5-methoxy dihydrodehydroconiferyl alcohol(4),5,4′-dimethoxy-biphenyl-4-ol-3-O-β-D-glucoside(5),quercetin(6),vitexin(7).Conclusions Compound 1 is a new natural product and compounds 2-4 are isolated from Crataegus genus for the first time.
