Abstract

Objective:To observe the changes of insulin resistance and serum leptin(lep)concentration after short-term continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion(CSII)treatment on type 2 diabetes(T2DM).Methods:We treated with CSII for 52 patients with T2DM in our hospital.CSII treatment were stopped at the time of 2 weeks after glycemic normal. The insulin resistance were assessed by HOMA-IR,serum lep were determined by BA-ELISA.Results:2 weeks after CSII treatment,FPG were decreased(t=25.948,P=0.000),which achieved treatment goals. And the insulin resistance were also improved,it showed the HOMA-IR decreased(t=4.000,P=0.000).The concentration of serum lep were also decreased than before treatment(t=3.010,P=0.002).Correlation analysis showed that HOMA-IR had positive correlation with serum lep,the correlation coefficient was r=0.577(t=4.583,P=0.014).Conclusion:Short-term CSII treatment for type 2 diabetes can reduce blood sugar, improve insulin resistance, decrease serum leptin concentration.
