Abstract

A 9'-acryloxyspirooxazine grafted carboxymethyl chitin has been synthesized. The effect of reaction temperature and time, amount of solvent, initiator and monomer on graft copolymerization were studied. The optimum condition of the maximum grafting efficiency was shown as following:CMC 0.4 g,water 50.0 mL,initiator 0.35 mmol, monomer 3.0 mmol, reaction temperature 70 ℃,reaction time 4.0 h,the grafting percent was 65%,grafting efficiency was 25.2%.
