Abstract
This paper begins with an analysis of foreign language students' difficulties in listening comprehension and argues that the difficulties is caused by lacking proper learning strategies. Then it puts forward some cognitive strategies in the teaching of listening. These strategies are as follows: phrase listening?listening selectively?listening Keywordsand main idea?listening by contextual clues. By means of training and leading, the purpose is to improve the ability of students' listening comprehension.
