The efficacy observation of Xiaoyaosan combined with Escitalopram in the treatment of depression

Objective:To compare curative effect and safety of Escitalopram combined with Xiaoyaosan with Escitalopram in the treatment of depression.Methods:60 cases of patients with depression were randomly divided into the treatment group(Xiaoyaosan subtract unfettered combined with Escitalopram group) and control group(Escitalopram group),each 30 cases.Hamilton depression rating scale(HAMD) was used to evaluate the efficacy before the treatment and 2,4,6,8 weeks after the treatment,adverse reactions scale(TESS) was used to evaluate safety.Results:The effective rate of the treatment group was 93.33% and the control group was 83.33%,the difference was significant(P0.05).2,4,6,8 weeks after the treatment,HAMD scores were lower in the treatment group than the control group,the difference was significant(P0.05).The treatment group had 4 cases of adverse reactions,control group had 12 cases,the difference was significant(P0.05).Conclusion:Xiaoyaosan subtract unfettered combined with Escitalopram in the treatment of depression shows good curative effect,and the adverse reaction is less.
