Abstract
The application of computer simulation technology in the heavy machine tool design was introduced,including design process simulation and function physical characteristic simulation.Based on the process of the horizontal lathes design,the virtual assembly of the lathes was realized and the properties of the spindle system were analyzed through SolidWorks and Ansys respectively.It is proved by anexample that computer simulation is benefit for the heavy machine tool design.
