Abstract
By using the Solow residual methods,this paper measures and analyzes the contribution of technological progress in China's economic growth during the 6th to 10th Five-Year Plan.Through analyzing the change of the technology,capital and labor's contribution to economic growth in these periods,the finding shows that capital investment is the biggest factor for keeping China's rapid economic growth while technological progress has made less contribution to economic growth.It puts forwards that promoting technological progress should start with increasing investment in public education and optimizing the allocation of resources
