Abstract

OBJECTIVE To establish an HPLC fingerprint analysis method for Angelicae dahuricae extracts.METHODS HPLC fingerprint was performed on Diamonil C18 column(250 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm) with mixture of methanol-water-THF as mobil phase in a gradient mode at a flow rate of 1.0 mL·min-1.The detection wavelength was 320 nm.RESULTS 10 batch of extracts prepared by non-sulfur-fumigated Angelica dahurica HPLC fingerprint had 9 characteristic common peaks and their similarity was above 0.9.8 peaks were identified, they were marmesin, xanthotoxin, bergapten, byakangelicol, oxypeucedanin, imperatorin, oxypeucedanin hydrate and isoimperatorin.Peaks from extracts prepared by sulfur-fumigated Angelica dahurica HPLC fingerprint are greatly reduced or absent.CONCLUSION The fingerprints can comprehensively reflect the characteristics of coumarins in Angelicae dahuricae extracts. The method is convenient, reproducible which provided a new evaluation method and basis for the effective control of the quality of Angelicae dahuricae extracts.
