Abstract
A survey was made among 548 students in clinical practice in 62 clinical teaching hospitals. The result showed that ideological education and professional skill training prior to clinical practice played an effective part in shortening the adaptive phase of clinical teaching, developing students' professional skills, adapting themselves quickly to the environment of medical practice, thus ensuring teaching quality in clinical practice, raising students' comprehensive competence and building up their competitive ability for employment.
