Abstract
The preparation of itaconic-acrylic acid copolymer sodium salt(AA-Co-IA)with itaconic acid and acrylic acid as starting materials through aqueous solution polymerization process was studied.Effects of monomer ratio, initiator dosage, reaction temperature and reaction time on synthesis of AA-Co-IA and its properties for the use as detergent builder were investigated. The optimum technical conditions were confirmed as:mole percent of itaconic acid is 22% of all monomers;reaction temperature is 80 ℃~85 ℃;the dosage of ammonium persulfate is 6.67% of the weight of all monomers;the addition of acrylic acid and ammonium persulfate takes 2.5 h.Time for keeping of reaction temperature is 6 h.
