Abstract
The synthesis of phosphorus-free builder is studied using acrylic acid and maleic anhydride as polymeric monomer in ammonium persulfate and sodium hydrosulfite being initiator, aqueous system. The effect of monomer ratio, initiator amount and reaction temperature on performance of builder detergent are studied.The better synthetic conditions were: mass ratio of maleic anhydride to acrylic acid was 1:3,weight of initiator was 4% of monomers,reaction temperature was 90 ℃ and continued for 1.5h.The effect of surfactant SDS on the viscosity and solubility of copolymer solution were studied.
