The Integration of Dong Zhongshu's Yin Yang Theory and Five Elements Theory

It is for the first time that Dong Zhongshu integrates tian ren shi duan in Chun Qiu Fan Lu through the operatingand transforming of the inner mechanism of yin yang and the five elements.And it has a considerable significance to academic research.Earth is the core of the five elements.Wood,fire,gold and water,each has its own order.The five elements obey the call of yin yang.And they run coordinatively to achieve effectiveness.For the five elements,yin yang becomes stranger and then it gives serve and help for the five elements.Neither Yin or yang nor the combination of them can be the only source of power to the evolution of the universe.The occurrence and forming of the things in universe happen only in condition of the joint action of yin yang,nature and human beings.The integration between nature and huamn beings by yin yang unites man and nature and realizes the interaction between man and nature and yin yang.The integration and unification made by Dong Zhongshu about nature,earth,man and yin yang wu xing furnish life and vagor to the rigid and liveless ying yang system.Thus,the felling and values of human beings of Confucianism penetrate into yin yang wu xing system organically,which make the latter be characterized by humanity and daily life.
