Women's Image in Traditional Martial Arts

Under the influence of the feudal culture,women used to be excluded from martial arts,but there are many traditional martial arts movements and routines created based on women's image. In order to explain the phenomenon,the paper adopts literature method to analyze the access,form and meanings of women's images in traditional martial arts. The result shows that women's images entered traditional martial arts in a pictographic way. Women's images in traditional martial arts explain the movements' process,which marks the perfection of martial arts philosophy and indicates the gender concepts of the boxing creators and society.
