Abstract
Cationic modification of cotton fiber is carried out with modifier DM-1901K.The process of modification is optimized by monitoring the dynamic chemical reaction with a liquid chromatographer as follows: cationic modifier DM-1901K 100 g/L,penetrant DM-1230 2 g/L,caustic sodium 25 g/L,batching-up for 12 h.The cationic modified cotton can be dyed with reactive dyes or direct dyes.Compared with the conventional process, the modified cotton dyeings feature higher color depth improved by 20%,the same color fastness to light, and better color fastness to soaping improved by 1 level.
