Abstract
Modification of cotton knits is carried out before dyeing with cationic fluorescent dyes. The modification and dyeing processes are optimized with single factor experiments. The results show that the optimum modification process is treating at 90 ℃ for 40 min with modifier 10%(omf), NaCl 50 g/L and pH value of 10, and the optimum dyeing process is carried out at 100 ℃ for 40 min with pH value of6. The modified cotton dyeings feature improved color depth, brightness, color yield, fixation and color fastness.
