Chemical constituents of Paeonia albiflora

Abstract

Aim To study the chemical constituents of Paeinia albiflora.Methods Ten compounds were isolated by chromatography on silica gel column,Sephadex LH-20,Pe-TLC,Pe-HPLC and identified on the basis of physico-chemical constant and spectral analysis.Results and conclusion Ten compounds were isolated and their structures were identified as evofolin B(1),(1S,2S,4R)-trans-2-hydroxy-1,8-cineole-β-D-glucopyranoside(2),(2R,3R)-4-methoxyl-distylin(3),1,2,3,4,6-penta-galloyl-glucose(4),catechin(5),benzoic acid(6),gallic acid(7),vanillic acid(8),methyl gallate(9),progallin A(10).Compounds 1-3 were obtained from this genus for the first time.
