Expression of uPAR in HCC and the relationship between uPAR and the clinical pathological factors of HCC

Abstract
【Objective】 To study the expression of uPAR in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),to investigate the relationship between the expression of uPAR and the clinical pathological factors of HCC,and to assess the role of uPAR in prognosis of HCC.【Methods】 The expression of uAPR in HCC,adjacent tissue to HCC and normal liver tissue was detected immunohistochemically,and its correlation with the clinical pathological factors of HCC was analyzed.【Results】 The expression of uPAR in HCC was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissue and normal liver tissue(P 0.05),uPAR expression was rising when the differentiation of HCC decreasing,the level of uPAR expression was significantly correlated to the tumor capsular invasion and portal vein tumor thrombosis(PVTT)(P 0.05),but it had no significant correlation with the tumor size,age,sex,cirrhosis,AFP level and HBsAg status(P 0.05).【Conclusion】 uPAR may play an important role in HCC invasion and metastasis,uPAR expression was closely correlated with malignant biological behavior and prognosis of HCC.
