Abstract
Objective To establish a HPLC method for the determination of baicalin in Niuhuang pills. Methods A HPLC method was performed on a Kromasasil C18 column(150 mm×4. 6 mm)with a mobile phase consisting of methanol - water -phosphoric aci(d47:53:0.2). The detection wavelength was set at 280 nm. Results The linear range of baicalin was 0.17 ̄1.12μg ( r = 0. 999 9) . The average recovery of baicalin was 98.30 (%n =6)with RSD of 1.37%. Conclusion This method is accurate , reliable and reproducible. It can be used for theassaying of baicalin in Niuhuang pills.
