Abstract
Based on the data management and spatial analysis ability of GIS,database of groundwater was created and realized 3D visualization of groundwater level in combination with dynamic balanced method. The spatial distribution of groundwater resources and the dynamic variation of groundwater level were evaluated in the Sanjiang Plain. The results showed that the groundwater level was continuously descending, the maximal descent of groundwater level was 5.8 m and the loss added up to 6.89×108 m3 in this region since 1997 owning groundwater surveying data. The relevant measures should be taken to mitigate the pressure of groundwater in the region for the future.
