Some Misunderstandings about Aesthetic Education in Primary and Secondary Schools

Due to the lack of knowledge about the nature,goal and tasks of aesthetic education,some schools and teachers in China have quite a few problems and misunderstandings about aesthetic education,such as instilling and preaching of aesthetic values, knowledge and techniques, dispelling of participation and experience and the ignorance of integrating.It is necessary in the healthy development of aesthetic education to have a correct view of the special characteristics of aesthetic education,to deal with the relations between the development of aesthetics and cultivation of aesthetic values and the relation between passing on knowledge and techniques and aesthetic experience,and to put the values,principles,and methods of aesthetic education into the whole process of art teaching.
