Abstract
The design procedures about a centrifugal compressor of small mass flow rate with splitter blade are described in this paper. The main design parameters about the impeller are mass flow rate 0.215 kg/s, rotor speed 95 000 rpm and pressure ratio 18. A centrifugal compressor design system is introduced briefly, which includes the optimum design module, the performance simulation module and the blade design module. Threedimensional Navier-Stokes equation is used to calculate the centrifugal compressor performance at design stage. The calculated results illustrate that the design aims have been realized.
