Abstract
To develop a novel method for fast determination of loratadine in capsules with NIR.Method:NIR dif- fuse reflectance spectra of the capsules were collected.Partial least square (PLS) was utilized to build the calibra- tion model with these spectra using HPLC as a reference method for loratedine in capsules. Results:The determina- tion coefficients R~2 was 98.32 as indicated from the cross validation,RMSECV (root mean square error)was 0. 158.RMSEP (root mean square error of prediction) obtained from the validation was 0.1,the determination coeffi- cients R~2 was 99.51.The correlation coefficient of the true value and prediction was 0.9982.The average recovery of the prediction set was 100.3% ( RSD=1.42% ,n=12).Conclusion:The proposed method is fast and non- destructive, and it provides a novel efficient and environmental friendly approach for the fast determination of the content of loratadine in capsules.
