Comparison of effects of Rabeprazole combined Itopride or Rabeprazole combined Domperidone on reflux esophagitis in the elderly

Abstract

OBJECTIVE To study effects of rabeprazole combined itopride or rabeprazole combined domperidone on reflux esophagitis(RE) in the elderly.METHODS 146 patients with RE were randomly divided into observation group and control group,each group had 73 cases.The observation group was treated by rabeprazole(10mg) combined with itopride(50mg).The control group was treated by rabeprazole(10mg) combined with domperidone(10mg).two months after the treatment,the improvement of symptoms and the improvement of endoscopic were analyzed.RESULTS The total effective rate of the improvement of symptoms of observation group was 95.9%,which was obviously higher than it of the control group(74.0%),with P0.05.The total effective rate of the improvement of endoscopic of observation group was 91.8%,which was obviously higher than it of the control group(71.2%),with P0.05.CONCLUSION The effect of rabeprazole combined with itopride on RE in the elderly is better than it of rabeprazole combined domperidone.
