Abstract
Yu Jian,a poet from Yunnan Province,takes a significant and unique position in the field of modern Chinese poetry with his poetic theories as well as his poems,which have close affinity with each other.Based on the demonstration of a series of the binary opposite factors in his poetic theories,this paper analyzes the great influence of his poetic theories on his poems. The innate defect and the dangerous bigoted tendency in his ideas,as a sort of unavoidable predicaments in his theory,are also pointed out.
