Abstract
The powdered activated carbon(PAC)-ultrafiltration membrane(UF) process was used to treat municipal secondary wastewate,in terms of the efficiency of pollutants removal and the membrane filtration performance. The results showed that UF could remove SS effectively.UF also removes microorganism well.Adding PAC to the system can have a removal ratio of 55.3% for CODcr,35% for BOD5 and 69.7% for colour.PAC addition was effective in enhancing flux and that flux could be recovered by backwash.
