Abstract

Xylanase from Asperglllus nlger was extracted with (NH4)2 S04 and its characteristics were analyzed. After extraction and freeze-drying,its specific activity was 69913 IUg-1. The optimal temperature for xylanase activity was 45℃ and optimal pH was 3.6. Xylanase activity was stable below 50℃ and from pH4.0 to pH11.0.The common metal cation had little effect on the enzyme. So the enzyme could be used in the industrial production of Xylooligosacchrides.
