Abstract
The Ma'anshan reach of Yangtze River is a typically straight braided stretch, her evolution is rather complicated, and it is difficult to regulate. This paper first analyzes the historic and recent characteristics of this reach evolution. On this basis of analyzing the regulation effect in the light of implemented regulation project, the authors put forward the present main problems existing in the Ma'anshan river reach and the regulation measures including a groyne group of adjusting the transitional reach mainstream, which may provide reference for the 2 stage regulation engineering.
