Abstract

The exertion of metaphor in Mencius has its great characteristics in Xianqin period.The metaphor in sections and chapters of Mencius has many forms.For example,Mencius took classical verse or common things in daily-life or stories to express his thoughts.With the analysis of the metaphor in Mencius,it expresses love and hate clearly with great passion.Except that it has many philosophic theories in metaphor use.
