Clinical Observation of Gegen-Huangqi Decoction for the Treatment of Cervical Spondylosis of Nerve Root Type

Abstract

Objective:To observe the curative effect of Gegen-Huangqi decoction for treating cervical spondylosis of nerve root type.Methods:The 90 cases of nerve root type cervical spondylosis were randomly divided into two groups.The patients of control group(n=40) were given traction treatment and Difene orally,and the treatment groups(n=50) were taken Gegen-Huangqi decoction orally.Results:In treatment group,11 cases were cured,21 cases were markedly effective,15 cases were effective,and 3 cases were invalid,the total efficiency was 94%.In control group,6 cases were cured,12 cases were markedly effective,16 cases were effective,and 6 cases were invalid,the total efficiency was 85%.The curative effect of the two groups were statistically difference(P0.05).Conclusion:The Gegen-Huangqi decoction is effective for treating cervical spondylosis of nerve root type.
