Abstract

Objective: To observe the influence of different concentrations of Glucose in Krebs-Henseleit(K-H) liquid on ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats with isolated working hearts. Methods: The heart models of ischemia/reperfusion injury were built with Langendorff isolated perfusion technology. The different concentrations of Glucose in K-H liquid were used for reperfusion. At the end of the reperfusion, the activities of Creatine Kinase(CK),Lactate Dehydrogenase(LDH),Glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px) and the concentrations of Nitric Oxide(NO),Malondialdehyde(MDA) in the myocardial tissue were examined. Results: The group of 1.5 times Glucose concentration showed an increase in the enzymatic activities of LDH,CK,GSH-Px and an increase in the concentration of NO and a decrease in the concentration of MDA in the myocardial tissue. Conclusion: The group of 1.5-times-Glucose-concentration has a protective effect on myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury because it improves the stability of myocardial cell membrane, enhances anti-oxidative enzyme activity, improves blood supply by relieving blood vessel smooth muscle, restrains the lipid hydroperoxide injury when myocardial tissue suffers from ischemia/reperfusion injury.
