Abstract
AbstrcatThe chromogenic reaction of 1-(2,6-dibromo-4-nitrophenyl)-3-(4-nitrophenyl)-triazene with silver has been discussed in this paper. In the buffer solution of Na_2B_4O_7-NaOH(pH10.0) and with the existence of surface active agent of Triton-100 , 1-(2,6-dibromo-4-nitrophenyl)-3-(4-nitrophenyl)-triazene reacts with silver to form a complex with molar ratio of 1:1. The apparent molar absorptivity is 9.18×10~4L·mol~(-1)·cm~(-1) and 1.14×10~5 L·mol~(-1)·cm~(-1). Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range of 0~12μg/25mL. The method has been employed to determine the trace amounts of silver in photographic waste solution with satisfactory results.
