Efficacy Observation of Type-2 Diabetic Foot Treated with the Therapy for Nourishing Yin,Clearing Heat and Removing Toxin

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy on type-2 diabetic foot differentiated as yin deficiency and blood stagnation,and toxic retention in the skin and carbuncle of yin type,treated with the therapyfor nourishing yin,clearing heat and removing toxin. Methods Sixty cases were randomized into a treatment group and a control group,30 cases in each one. In the control group,the reducing glucose,reducing lipid and removing carbuncle were adopted to improve blood supply and nourish nerve. Additional,the wound dressing was applied with antibiotics. In the treatment group,on the basic conventional treatment as the control group,the herbal medication for nourishing yin,clearing heat and removing toxin was supplemented. SimiaoHuoxue Decoction was used. The clinical efficacy was observed in 28 days of treatment. Results The efficacy was different significantly in the treatment group as compared with the control group( P 0. 05). The difference in the case number for the symptoms alleviation such as numbness,cold and pain of the affected limb was significant in comparison between the treatment group and control group( P 0. 05). In the treatment,after treatment,the skin temperature on the affected limb and ankle brachial index were different significantly as compared with the control group( P 0. 05). Conclusion The therapy for nourishing yin,clearing heat and removing toxin achieves the significant efficacy on type-2 diabetic foot,differentiated as yin deficiency and blood stagnation,and toxic retention in the skin and carbuncle of yin type. This therapy shortens the wound healing time and alleviates the sufferings of patients.
