The effect of root canal filling with Vitapex on periapical abscess of deciduous tooth

Abstract

AIM:To observe the clinical effect of Vitapex on root periapical abscess of deciduous tooth at single service. METHODS: Tooth decay was removed follow the routine clinical procedure, then the root canals were prepared and filled with Vitapex. Finally, the cheek mucosal abscess was incised. RESULTS: Among the selected 45 deciduous teeth one week after operation, there are 28 teeth with best effect, 17 teeth with better effect. 34 was effective and 4 showed progress in the followed 38 teeth at three months after the operation. CONCLUSION: Incising of cheek mucosal abscess and filling root canal of deciduous tooth with VITAPEX could reduce the times of service, and appropriate over-filing of the root canal with VITAPEX helps to raise the clinical effect.
