Abstract
The effects of different NaCl concentrations on seed germination and seedling growth of maize were studied. The results indicated that germination rate and germination viability decreased with the increasing of NaCl concentration, while low concentration of NaCl stimulated radical growth and seed germination. The growth of radical and plumule were greatly inhibited under hight concentration of NaCl stress. The plumule was more sensitive to salt stress than the radical.
