VSD in the Treatment of Soft Tissue Defects of Wound Infection

Objective To investigate the vacuum sealing drainage(VSD)technology for soft tissue defects in the treatment of infected wounds.Methods from March 2008 to March 2010 our department were treated soft tissue defects were randomly divided 21 patients.10 patients underwent wound debridement and closed suction drainage after(VSD),3 patients after 14-28d vacuum sealing drainage(VSD)to two skin wound preparations,and 6 through 7-14d vacuum sealing drainage(VSD)to two skin wound preparations,one case after 1-7d vacuum sealing drainage(VSD)to two skin wound preparations.11 After routine wound debridement traditional wound dressing,in which five cases after 14~28d to two skin wound preparations,and 4 through 7~14d to two skin wound preparations,two cases of wound dressing after 28d polluted than the traditional,necrotic tissue increased.Results of vacuum sealing drainage(VSD)group in the cure rate,the total effective skin wounds and wound up two preparation time was statistically significant(p0.01).Conclusion wound vacuum sealing drainage(VSD)is the treatment of soft tissue defect and ideal method of wound infection,one should be widely applied.
