On the Interaction between Confucianism and Literature in Wei,Jin, the Northern and Southern Dynasties

In Wei,Jin, the Northern and Southern Dynasties, the interrelation between Confucianism and literature is not only antagonism, but also interaction. This interaction is manifested in two aspects: on the one hand, literature absorbs and transforms the experience of Confuciusm in the fields of literary criticism and creation from the perspectives of scopes, theories, themes, ways of expression, style of sentence structure as well as aesthetic criterion; on the other, with the development of literary ideas, people also examine and deconstruct the classic works of Confuciusm from literary point of view. The reason that this interaction occurs lies in the wide spread of Confuciusm and great development of literature as well as the combination of economists and writers during the period of Wei,Jin, the Northern and Southern Dynasties.
