Turning of Publicity in Urban Garden Life of Northern Song Dynasty:Research on Junpu Gardens in Dingzhou

Abstract

As a type of classic Chinese gardens in ancient cities in China,Junpu gardens have especially turned to be more public and open in the Northern Song Dynasty.This paper takes Yuegutang and Zhongchunyuan in Dingzhou in the very north of Song as examples,and focused on their original locations,layouts and boundaries through historic documents research and field survey.Their contribution to the city life was also appreciated.
