Analysis of the Academic Quality of the Journal of Sichuan Agricultural University in the Period of 2003～2007

In order to know about the academic standards and characteristics of the Journal of Sichuan agricultural university,this paper,by using bibliometrics,makes a statistical analysis of the published papers in the five years from 2003 to 2007 based on the evaluation index of periodicals,the contents of which include papers' region distribution,subject distribution,co-authored papers,fund dissertation,publishing cycle,impact factor,immediate index and citations etc..The results showed that: the Journal of Sichuan Agricultural University's publishing time lag reduced significantly,public infrastructure-disciplinary research growth,the proportion of the fund papers increased year by year,the area of research papers increasingly wide,the rate of co-authored papers are on the rise.On this basis,some suggestions have been posed to improve the academic quality of the Journal and to promote its development constantly.
