Abstract
The harsh way of the contemporary countryside stepping into urban civilization in the process has been illustrated in Going to the Pond by Sun Huifen with a unique narrative mode.The author describes a catalogue of a village change into the urban civilization, a picture constituted with sordldness and wretched- ness.And the author also tells this kind of folk tales and sounds for the villagers.
