Abstract

Objective To observe the frequencies distribution of interleukin-6(IL-6) gene-572C/G polymorphism in health chinese Han population in Liaoning. Methods Polymerase chain reaction-restrion fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RLFP) was used to test a coding variant IL-6-572C/G gene in 366 cases of Liaoning Han population with normal glucose tolerant, and it was compared with the genotype and allele frequencies of IL-6 in different healthy population from English,French, koreaa,American, and other countries. Results In Liaoning healthy population,572CC、CG and GG genotype frequencies were 63.93%,34.15%,1.92%,respectively.-572 C and G allele frequencies were 81.01%,18.99%,respectively.These were similar to those in koreaa and Japanese, but significantly different from those in English,French,American,Italian and Denmark population. Conclusion There is interleukin-6(IL-6) gene-572C/G polymorphism in health chinese Han population in Liaoning.C allele is usual and G allele is rare.
