Challenge for Coal Industry in the Period of Heavy Chemical Industry

As China's industrialization process is in its interim period of transforming from light chemical industry to heavy chemical industry, coal demand has a sharp increase tendency as a result of the needs from power, metallurgy and construction industries. China's coal industry faces challenges in the aspects of coal supply, competing with multi national companies, and problems stemming from its internal sector. To deal with current situation, China's coal industry should devote more in exploration and production areas, and implement the combination and multi polar strategy, so as to improve the competitive ability and give the considerations to both domestic and foreign markets, thus making coal industry obtain the significant development in the period of heavy chemical industry.
